Water Babies Classes Update

At Water Babies, one of our promises to you is that we’ll always put the safety and wellbeing of your child above anything else.

FAQs

  • We will do everything we can to ensure continuity in our classes, as we want you to have the most seamless experience possible. In some cases, we may have to make a few changes in order to keep everyone safe and happy. Will be working incredibly closely with our pools and our teachers for this continuity, and our promise to you is that we will be taught by one of our experienced Water Babies teachers, in a pool that is up to our stringent Water Babies’ standards, with classmates at a similar developmental stage.

  • The health and safety of our customers and team will always be our number one priority, and we are complying with both government and industry guidance on managing any potential risk in all of our pools and operations. We are taking all the necessary steps to ensure that we can deliver the best teaching experience for you and your little one in the safest way possible.

We adhere to best practices and that include increased hygiene and cleaning routines and social distancing rules. From changing rooms to the water, every step of your experience with us will be made as safe as possible.

Please check with your local office if spectators, or how many, are currently allowed on poolside before attending your lessons.

  • We will be working closely with all of our colleagues and venues to ensure that all government guidance is adhered to at all times. We are examining and tweaking everything we do, right from the parking lot, to the change rooms and all the way through to the water to ensure every step of your Water Babies journey is as safe as possible.

  • Your local office will be more than happy to help with any additional questions that you might have. The best way to do this is to reach out by email, but Please be patient with them at this time as they try to get back to everyone as quickly as they can.

Keep checking back on our FAQs as these will develop as we hear more from the government, our venues and swimming national governing bodies.

  • We take the safety and hygiene of our lesson environments very seriously.

We lead the way in the baby swimming industry, having actually written the official UK standards for the operation of baby and toddler swim schools. These standards promote best industry practice with specific reference to pool water treatment, the general cleanliness of the pool environment and pool water temperatures.

Now more than ever with the arrival of Covid, these standards are even more relevant and necessary. We have taken the guidance from all kinds of sources, the WHO, the Canadian and Ontario governments, other provinces, and of course the highest Water Babies standards. We are continuing to work with, as we always have, each of our pool operators to continually coordinate and recommend health and safety measures.

We are keeping everyone safe with our 4 – point action plan by:

    - Organising all our operations to screen and protect our swimmers from exposure

    - Frequent and regular testing of pool water quality

    - Being in full compliance of pool water pH and disinfectant levels

    - Structured cleaning regime of all areas used by the public including change room , the pool environment and all teaching equipment

We understand that a Water Babies lesson is not just about the pool, it's about the entire experience. It's our Overriding purpose to make your experience as safe and enjoyable as possible.

At Water Babies, our immediate priority has been and remains the health and well-being of our customers, employees, and communities. We watch case trends and government guidance closer than most, and are keenly aware of changes as they are happening.

Since we were allowed by the government to reopen, we’ve been navigating swimming safely according to the “new normal” and doing everything we can to make our customers comfortable, while continually monitoring the situation and mitigating risks as much as possible.

We are in a fluid situation where restrictions and regulations are changing on a weekly basis. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to providing a safe, positive and healthy atmosphere in which to get our and practice our skills. All our health and safety protocols remain in place and have been exceedingly effective at protecting our swimmers over the past months of use (and the highlights are laid out in the section below).

If new guidance or restrictions emerge, we will immediately move to comply with those as well (or cancel lessons if required) and we are frequently reviewing our procedures to ensure the safest environment possible.

Health & Safety procedures in place

We are immensely proud of what we have been doing to keep our customers and staff safe and want to reiterate some of the H&S measures adopted at every venue that we swim in and also in our office:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting procedures for
  • Pools
  • Equipment
  • Facilities
  • Proof of vaccination
  • Team and swimmer screening procedures
  • Team training on all of the above

You can rest assured that the current additional measures and pool rules we have created will continue being enforced, while further actions and arrangements could be put in place, if necessary or required by authorities, to maintain our customers protected to the extent possible.

At this time, we are even more prepared to make any adaptations that become essential to run our lessons safely.

Don’t worry, if it ever becomes unsafe to have you and your little one in the water, we will be the first ones to let you know, just as we did in March, when classes were suspended even before the official announcements and restrictions from public health.

We are in a new world and honored to say that our continuous respect for government regulations and actions has put Water Babies in a position to continue delivering our world-class lessons.

We will continue to review everything as the situation progresses so please keep an eye on this page or contact your local office for updates:
